About Sandy
Hello, my name is Sandy Holzheimer and welcome to my website. I am the sole owner and practicing clinician at Creations Counseling & Therapeutic Services, LLC. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational and Industrial Psychology from Albright College in Pennsylvania; and I have my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Kutztown University, also in Pennsylvania. One month after graduating with my master’s degree I moved with my husband and children to the Huntsville area.
With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, my actual counseling journey began once I graduated and moved to the Huntsville area. I have experience working with those who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use and recovery, self-esteem issues, grief, and life transitions. I believe the therapy process is unique to the individual. I use an eclectic approach bringing aspects of CBT, DBT, Solution Focused, and person-centered modalities to the counseling forum. I am an associate licensed counselor, (ALC), under the supervision of Pamela Tippit, LPC-S. I offer individual counseling services to adolescents (14+ years) and adults who find themselves in need of support and guidance. Collaboratively, we can work to identify unhealthy coping patterns that may be negatively influencing your life. We’ll work to create healthy, useful tools that help cultivate real change so you an begin living your best life.

When I am not working I enjoy spending time outside and being with my family. I have a soft spot for animals, especially dogs and once we arrived in Huntsville it was no surprise that I began volunteering for an animal adoption agency. I have spent much of my time fostering elder dogs until they could find their furever homes; however, I have a particular soft spot for hospice fostering. Though it is very difficult, the gifts these animals provide us with are so very dear to my heart.
